A lot of all-ages animated shows can be overwhelming and heavy, but the Dragon Prince balances those weighty plot points with plenty of breezier moments. Often these lighter moments give us a chance to get to know the characters more deeply.
The Dragon Prince Season 4 was a big step in that direction, bringing new animation and fresh ideas to the show. The series also shifted from the sword-and-sorcery world of the first three seasons to a more familiar European style, but the production team has done a great job of not compromising on representation for different ethnicities and genders.
Netflix renewed the series for a full seven-season run. This is an impressive move on Netflix’s part and it means the series will get to follow through on all of the storylines Wonderstorm and Bardel Entertainment planned for its ambitious fantasy saga.
As a result, there will be a new animated series, a graphic novel, and a video game all set in the same world. If they succeed, the saga will have an even more detailed universe to explore!
There is a new trailer for Season 4, and it teases a two-year time jump. It also includes a very important new character!
A new episode of the popular animated series will be released on November 3rd. The episode is titled “The Mystery of Aaravos” and it introduces us to the magical land of Xadia.
It is here that the trio of tweens and teens, Callum, Ezran, and Rayla, set out on a quest to protect the last dragon egg. But along the way they discover an ominous secret.
