The Dragon The Bruce Lee Story

The Bruce Lee story began when the young martial artist was receiving traditional Chinese martial arts training. After an altercation with a local gang leader, his father sent him to the United States to teach martial arts to American students. In the early 1960s, he became popular by playing the title character in the television series “The Green Hornet,” which was also known in Hong Kong as the “Kato Show.”

Although the film is about the life of Bruce Lee, it does include some personal information. He was born in the United States, and lived in Chinatown for about three months as a baby. His parents had to leave the country because he had a tour commitment with the Cantonese Opera Company. In a Hollywood party, Lee mentions to his wife that he had been a champion in Cha-Cha. He later won the Hong Kong Cha-Cha Championship in 1958.

This is a good choice for moviegoers looking for a more wholesome story of Bruce Lee. It’s an easy-to-digest amalgamation of several Bruce Lee stories. And it’s rated PG-13, which means it’s more of a family film than a serious thriller. Nevertheless, the movie offers some valuable lessons on tackling the toughest challenges in the martial arts.
