Dragons X Reader Review – Book Review of Dragonsorce #8

“Dragons X Reader” by C.C. Lewis is the eighth book in the Dragonlance series and continues where “Dragons Reach” ended. This time, with a great deal more twists and turns than before. I loved this book, and liked how it kept me turning the next page, hoping that there would be more of the same intense action and excitement.

This book begins as a back story of sorts on how Artur of Astria came to be present in Aredhel’s court. From there, we get to learn about his past, which is quite fascinating and at times unbelievable at the same time. This is especially true when you learn that dragons have a strong control over weather as well as time itself, and the flow of the universe. It explains how dragons are able to command the weather and even the forces of life and death to do their bidding.

In the first few chapters, I found myself getting caught up in the action and soon found myself immersed in the story. This combined with the excellent plot and the powerful characters made this book not only a fun read, but one that held my interest for most of the way. However, towards the end, it became apparent that the main characters, including Artur and his father were not really as interesting as the narrative built them out to be. I will say, however, that after reading the very end of this book, I was actually hoping that there would be more of the same amazing characters in future books.
