Dragons are featured in mythology across a lot of cultures around the world. They are characterized as massive reptilian beasts with leathery bat-like wings, lion-like claws, and scaled skin. And, they’re often terrifying. But, they’re also benevolent, wise, and lucky. They’re the guardians of nature. They can heal the sick and protect the weak. They can fly, and they are known for their fiery breath. And, they’re the ultimate symbols of power and strength.
However, there’s really no one definition of a dragon. They vary in their appearance, power, and majesty from culture to culture. Depending on the mythology, they can be anything from Bahamut to Tiamat to dragons in Game of Thrones to wyverns in Warcraft or Naga in Chinese mythology. And, they’re often portrayed as either fierce enemies or benevolent guardians.
Regardless of the mythology, though, many people associate dragons with power and strength. Dreaming of a dragon may symbolize your desire for or recognition of your own inner power. Alternatively, it may represent a conflict or challenge that you are facing in your life.
