Dragon’s Blood

Dragon's blood is a garnet-red resin that can be obtained from different species of the Dracaena and Daemonorops genus of trees. It has been used since ancient times as a paint, dye, incense and ritual medicine.

The name comes from the color of the resin, which is red and resembles drops of blood. It is believed to cleanse negative energy and help with healing and inner transformation. It is also said to strengthen passion and increase fertility. It is a sacred incense that is often used to protect and empower during rituals, spellwork and spiritual journeys.

It is sometimes added to herbal tinctures and extracts. Some studies have shown that dragon's blood may help with ulcers, particularly those caused by pressure or bed sores. However, research is still limited and the results should not be relied upon to replace doctor-recommended approaches. Dragon's blood has antimicrobial properties, which can kill the pathogens that cause these conditions.

Other studies have indicated that dragon's blood has antioxidant potential. This means it may scavenge the free radicals that are associated with cellular damage and disease, including cancer. However, research is in its early stages and more evidence is needed before recommending this plant as a cancer treatment or preventative. It should also not be taken by people taking blood thinners, as it is believed to have a blood-thinning effect.
