Dragon Wars is a real-time strategy game from Interplay that let players control dragons in a world of fantasy. In the game, players can build and command a army of dragons in battles that take place in true real-time. The game featured a unique skill system that allowed players to assign skills to their characters, making them more effective in combat.
The plot of the game begins 500 years ago in Korea with an old wizard-warrior training his protege to protect a girl who is delineated by a dragon tattoo on her face. The girl is destined to hold a magical gem called the Yuh Yi Joo that can turn one of two rival serpents into an all-powerful dragon ruler. The girl is reborn every 500 years, and Ethan is fated to safeguard her so that she makes it to the good snake before she dies.
When he is captured, the protagonist wakes up in a Phoeban prison and has to escape from the guards. He can either fight them, or he can use his Sneak ability to avoid them. He can also hide in various places around the dungeon to prevent detection by the guards. This is a fun game, although the graphics are a bit dated and the monsters don’t really react to getting their teeth kicked in. It is worth checking out if you are interested in a fun RTS.
