Dragon Nest is a free-to-play fantasy MMORPG developed by Eyedentity. It features non-targeting system gameplay with a focus on group fighting within instance dungeons. Players choose from a number of hero classes and can equip customizable gear and weapons. They fight against groups of monsters to earn money, collectables and materials that can be sold or traded. The game takes place in the fictional world of Kalahan and its four realms.
The game is available on PC, Mac OS X and Linux. On 23 December 2011 the North American version extended its level-cap to 40 and added the new class of Academic. On 12 June 2012 the Sea Dragon Nest was released, followed by the long-awaited Tier 2 Nests (created when you merge level 4 Dragons). On 20 October 2011 Cherry Credits and Shanda Games launched a localized version of Dragon Nest in South East Asia.
Aside from the main story, a side-story known as The Legend of Dragon Nest has been created to further expand on the Dragons and their interactions in the camp. In addition, the End Portal feature allows players to sacrifice items for a chance to spawn certain Dragons.
Dragon Nests can be obtained in many ways: through the Wonders, which are found under the Evil Fog in Camp; as Event Rewards; from opening Dragon Shrine Chests with the appropriate levels of Gems (most Standard and Special Dragon Nests); by purchasing the Dimensional Jars produced as a byproduct of merging level 4 Dragons; or through rare trades with Kala. A few of the Dragon breeds have a regular Nest that spawns regular Eggs, while others have a Mystery Egg Nest that spawns both.
